State License Requirements

Since laser hair removal is considered a medical procedure, not a cosmetic procedure, it is not licensed by the cosmetology board. Nevada law requires that any laser facility have a medical director, who may remain on-site or off-site during procedures. You may complete your training through a laser technician program or under the guidance of a physician. Regardless of which training route you choose, it’s important to get hands-on experience with a laser.

Education Details

As part of your training, you'll learn about the different parts of the body where laser hair removal is used. Not only will you discover the general laser techniques used in this field, you'll learn how to tailor each technique to suit different skin types and different body parts.

License Renewal
