I called this establishment earlier today and spoke with a female, did not give her name. I told her that I wanted a shampoo and my ends clipped. She told me that would be $35. in total. I told her that I got off at 5:30 PM. She said that’s fine. We close at 9 PM. I stood at the counter from 5:57 PM until 6:13 PM. The two ladies walked back-and-forth folding up their capes and did not acknowledge me at all. A older, tall, slim, gray haired gentleman asked me how he could help me. I told him the services that I was here for. He’s walking with his back to me and said oh they’re getting ready to go home, you have to come in the morning. I said that’s not what I was told earlier. It does not take three hours to do a shampoo! I could’ve skipped on getting my ends clipped! He did not take the time to apologize for my inconvenience and tried to make an excuse for me waiting almost 20 minutes at the counter, stating that he was just right outside. At the door. I said no, sir you were not! Two ladies walked out, one with braids, And I said I came in as they walked out! He didn’t have anything to say then. This would have been my first experience with this business, but it definitely will be my last! Will never ever be back!

Black lady at front with braids was rude and condescending and tried to service me while there was literally another customer standing at the counter. When I stayed back and answered her questions she informed me she couldn’t hear me and I would need to step closer to the counter. I told her I’m not sure if she noticed but it was a little crowded at the counter and no room for me to move forward. She then tried to over charge me $15 for a blow dry not knowing id already looked the prices up online. When I brought the prices up online to physically show her she simply told me they haven’t been updated yet and id have to pay the overcharged fee if I wanted a shampoo. I walked out before she finished her sentence I’ll go to my school that I graduated from where I KNOW I’ll be treated properly by not just students but staff. David pressley is where I normally go but I wanted to try something new and support my actual community 🤣 screw that!!! I’ll stick to the suburbs and excellent customer service. Oh and the prices are what they claim to be at David pressley! They don’t make them up as they go.
