⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Attending Lia Schoors Esthetics School was an amazing experience! Ms. Lucy and Ms. Antoinette were so passionate and caring, always making sure we understood everything. The staff and owner were incredibly supportive and accommodating. The hands-on training in an intimate setting made learning feel personal and inspiring. I’m truly grateful for the experience. I highly recommend the school to anyone looking to attend Esthetics School.

I wanted to share my honest experience at the Lia Schorr Institute. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed by what we learned in the practical portion. At the time, it felt like we were covering a lot, but now that I’m working as an esthetician, I realize there’s quite a bit I didn’t get to learn compared to people I meet who graduated from places like Christine Valmy. I wish the hands-on portion had been more in-depth and better aligned with what’s actually expected in the field. I also want to mention something that made my experience uncomfortable. The two women who work in the financial aid office — I believe their names are Jennifer and Regina — were sometimes unprofessional with me. I had some issues with my financial aid, which meant I was in their office frequently. At one point, Regina made side comments about me not knowing the heritage language MULTIPLE times, like in a way to belittle me or something — which was obviously making me very uncomfortable but she continued. There was also a moment where Jennifer mocked me for simply saying “mhm,” which was weird... They both laughed after she did that too, I was so confused like why are you mocking me at your job lol? When I went to pick up my certificate, Lia wasn’t there — I was told she was on vacation — and Regina even made a rude comment about my outfit when taking my picture. Talking about the bottoms I was wearing didn’t look good enough for the picture. I swear I can’t make this up lol. So she took a picture of half my body, even though I didn’t want to… it was kind of my moment, and I think I’m allowed to decide how I want my picture taken. Since I knew I was probably not seeing their faces again and also being very excited by my certificate, I kept a smile on my face and ignored it. Embarrassing for her honestly. I don’t think anyone deserves to be treated that way, especially students who are just trying to complete their education and move forward in their careers. Even though I did say I was underwhelmed. I did indeed learn a lot of important things. I’m grateful for the experience overall, and I’m truly enjoying this field. This is the path I truly want to follow in life, and I’m thankful that even through the ups and downs, this experience helped me take that first step toward doing what I love.

I had such a great experience at the Lia Schorr Institute! The staff is very professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The instructors really take their time to explain everything clearly and make sure you feel confident in your skills. The hands on training is amazing, and you can tell they truly care about preparing students for real-world success in the beauty and skincare industry. The environment is supportive, clean, and professional. I highly recommend this institute to anyone who wants quality education and a solid foundation in esthetics!
