Bad service and I wasted my energy on a student who disrespected me on the phone talking about my hair which I known is illegal practice.First let me give a little history about why I go to David Presley Beauty School. My mother in 2020 had opened heart surgery and she a survived so we a make tradition to go to David Pressley for a self care day out. But on 9/25/2024 things changed a student didn’t do due process on the phone complaining about my hair and also hurting my hair and that’s was unacceptable so I refused her service and reported her to instructor which provided me with another student but due to my anxiety and health condition I refused service until I calm-down and stop crying due to the disrespect I received from your student .I didn’t find that very professional at all. I thought being a cosmetology school they would teach people how to let your guess/client know what’s going on before wasting their time/ yours. So disappointing. I hate to say that this they need to respect people with disabilities because they matter too even when they’re in a bad situation like this . Not get put out the building just check the camera I wasn’t disrespectful and I didn’t cuss. All I wanted to do is spend time with my mother on our self care day…. If possible please don’t let nobody else be treated like this 😭

With two campuses in the Detroit metropolitan area, David Pressley School of Cosmetology offers hands-on training in the latest skin care, hairstyling, nail care, and makeup application techniques.
With a student-to-faculty ratio of 20 to 1, the school can offer more personalized instruction. In fact, former students cite this as one of its many benefits. One student's review says, "Great instructors, quality protocols and products. You work hard but you have a lot of fun. Small classroom sizes make it easier to get quality training."
The 1,500-hour cosmetology program provides training in hair, skin, and nail care. Courses are available in the daytime and evenings, and some weekend classes may be required.
The esthetician program includes 600 hours, or 20 weeks, in specialized esthetics courses. This training is 200 more hours than the state requires so that students may obtain licenses in any state.
The instructor program features 600 hours of additional training beyond cosmetology instruction—100 hours over the state requirement to ensure maximum preparedness for the classroom.
