Programs Offered
Editor's Description
Since 2005, the Career School of NY has been dedicated to preparing students for a wide range of careers, including those in beauty. The school's 1,000-hour cosmetology program provides a full education in hair, nails, makeup, and skincare. The curriculum is oriented mostly towards hair but teaches a broader overview of technical beauty skills. A 600-hour esthetics course is also available.
The school's student salon mirrors the professional work environment, allowing learners to develop real client relationships and practice their craft. "My experience at the Career School of NY has been very rewarding," says alumna Jana. "The evening esthetics teacher Mrs Solome has a lot of experience in the spa industry and goes out of her way to enrich the classes by providing the students with a variety of enjoyable methods to learn about the field."
