I have been going to Empire Beauty School every week for well over a decade because it is great...and the price is a fraction of regular salons. Over the years I have experienced many of their services and have never been disappointed. They try to match clients with students who are good at the requested service, and when possible match personalities, too. I get compliments on my hair frequently and am often asked where I get my hair done. An added benefit for me is that I have been going there so long that the staff has become like my extended family. I first heard about Empire Beauty School from my good friend, Cynthia J., who is currently a cosmetology student there. From the start, the experience was very positive - Tatiana (front desk) was welcoming, and the process of setting up an appointment was simple and stress-free. One important note: if you’re planning to get color done, they do require a “patch test” 48 hours before the actual appointment, so be sure to keep that in mind when scheduling. As for my overall experience, all of my appointments and services have been supervised by the instructor, Leeanda, which gave me great confidence in the process. Cynthia J. has done an outstanding job with my hair color, balayage, and highlights over the past year. I started with brown hair and after several months of careful work, I am now a blonde - and I couldn’t be happier with the final result! I absolutely love both my haircut/style and my color. The school offers a full student salon where learners can practice their skills to gain confidence and build client bases before even launching their careers.
Their 1,000-hour cosmetology program covers hair cutting, coloring, and design, as well as nail services, skincare procedures, and marketing and communications.
