So I know. You get what you pay for. Thinking along those lines I should not be surprised that I left after paying and a nice tip and a student and 2 teachers working on my hair that I had a different haircut on either side of my head. The teacher parted my hair in the center. For a pixie cut. And away from my natural side part because she said that’s how she cuts. Ok. I don’t know everything. And my student hair stylist told me she’s interested in eyebrows. In all fairness she was the nicest sweetest girl. And she’s graduating in August. And unequipped to cut hair. Another teacher guided her through styling the right side. Too bad she didn’t guide her through the left. And the teacher lamented that she would have to wash my hair again to get away from the ridiculous looking center part. My fault. I said no. This isn’t where you want to go if you’re thinking of saving money and still getting a nice haircut. That couldn’t possibly happen there. They’re just not good enough. Sometimes it’s better to just pay a professional. And on the bright side I have a nice collection of summer hats.

Avoid ISABELLA AT ALL TIMES!!! Left the salon with a color orange hair. I understand that these are students, I get that.. but having them decide to all of sudden change the color of your hair after giving specific instruction/ color is terrible. The person who did my hair was Isabella. I literally cried after leaving this place. Im so speechless. Note that this was supposed to be a correction of the one she did last week because some spots were not colored properly. This correction is 2000 percent worse than last week! The person guiding her told me that the color was nice the (darker color) and I was thinking its my hair so I get to decide with one I want, Not her or a student! It was only when I requested for Marchel and she said.. her hair was brighting than the color correction they placed, so they decide to do a bleach bath to make it lighter.. Note they I couldn’t be more clear on the instruction of what I want, as a compensation they ask me to pay for the color of 16 bucks.. this was after spending 120 (5 bowls) last week to make my hair lighter.. so it like I pay to make it lighter then I paid again to make it darker.. how stupid was Isabella to think I want it dark again??!! so now im Heading to another salon (a real one) to have it fixed. I have attached the photo of the one she did (today) and last week wherein spots were missed. And I hope they refund me my money since this is so frustrating!!! Isabella said she will be graduating in June 2025!! Omg you should spend more than 3 years to perfect your craft!!!
Update: until this time, no one replied in the email (Diana) they provided. They are just saying to contact them in public but they did not address anything!!!!

5 Stars – Absolutely Incredible Experience!
Kaiyla is truly a miracle worker! From the moment I walked in, she was so excited to have me as her guest—it instantly made me feel special and cared for. The facial left my skin glowing and refreshed, and the massage was amazing. Every bit of tension I was holding onto just melted away. I left feeling like a brand-new person—both inside and out.
She has such a special touch, blending professionalism with warmth and genuine care. I not only looked amazing afterward, but I felt amazing too—completely stress-free and deeply relaxed. Thank you, Kaiyla, for such a beautiful experience. I can’t wait for my next one!

Editor's Description
Situated in the center of Staten Island and just a short ferry ride to Manhattan, at Paul Mitchell The School NYC, students—or, as they're known on campus, "Future Professionals"—are trained for careers as licensed cosmetologists after they complete the program.
Students on the 1,000-hour cosmetology program are led through three levels of education—Core, Adaptive, and Creative—taking on more advanced techniques and building real-world skills and confidence as they move through each stage. Specialist makeup classes are also available.
Students are encouraged to give back to their communities, and three-month-long FUNraising campaigns are run annually. Since 2004, over $21 million has been raised for charity by Paul Mitchell Schools around the country.
"Paul Mitchell The School adapts to your particular learning style," says alumnus Dustin. "I'm more hands-on, I'm not good with books. It doesn't feel like you're at school, you're just having fun. Paul Mitchell The School gets you ready for salon life."
