This is the most money hungry business and not a “school”. The administration is some of the rudest people you will ever speak to, especially the front office. Financial aid was always polite and professional. But that lady, Carrie or whatever her name is, is not only condescending when she speaks to you but it feels motivated by race. My only advice is to KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE AND BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN HOW A $20K a year school can’t afford supplies and textbooks for their new starts. I started in August and things were actually fun. But something happened when she came after new years and it sucked the energy and life out. I don’t know what happen with our last director but she was the only one who ever showed she actually cared about us. As much as they try to paint it, you can’t fix what they know was broken and blame anyone when they can’t be a saving Grace. Go to TCAT or literally anywhere else you can use your tn promise. Don’t go to school here.

I’m in the nail program, will be graduating in august. I love my teacher, very helpful when studying for tests, she loves to incorporate and teach new trends. Come to school, get your hours and you’ll be done before you know it. Other reviews may intimidate you but if this is what you want do it. We’re grown, get your license and start your career.

This is by far the worst, most unprofessional school I have ever been to in my life! I have only been there for a week & we have yet to receive books or smocks, or any supplies we will need. The instructor doesn't even show us how to do the things we have to know. Its just an overall horrible experience. Don't recommend going here.

Located in Nashville, Genesis Career College has a large campus and a wide range of programs in the School of Beauty & Wellness. A Genesis esthetics student comments on Indeed, "Good combination or hands on and class work. Great teachers that provide a great learning environment. Learned a lot in a small amount of time. In less than a year, programs in cosmetology, esthetics, barbering, and nail technology prepare students for state licensure and professional certification.
The cosmetology program is 1,500 hours of hands-on learning and classroom instruction, including cutting, coloring, permanent waving, manicures and pedicures, and makeup application.
Their esthetics program focuses on facials and full-body treatments. Students even learn advanced techniques like microdermabrasion. The 1,500-hour master barber program enables you to learn the skills needed to become a barber or open your own barbershop.
You can also enroll in the nail technician program to learn manicures, pedicures, and artificial nail application. Classes begin each month.
Graduates of Genesis Career College have access to the school's Career Center to help them find a job after their training.
