This school is a waste of time and money, I would choose zero stars if I could. I chose the day/full time cosmetology program, and the core instructor Ms. Nicola does not instruct.
For example, she had transfer students show fellow students how to wrap the spiral perm while she sat down at her desk pretending to do something.
Every time I would ask a question, she would either ignore me, or give me attitude.
She told us to braid, while not demonstrating how to do it, or providing videos. I taught myself how to braid, and I had to teach another student because of her not instructing.
She says everything to me in a condescending tone, and treats other students with utmost respect even though I am respectful to her. The favoritism is very apparent.
Also, she has poor time management. Most of the time we would not have enough time to complete an activity, so we would sit at our tables with nothing to do.
Because of this, we were unprepared for our test at the end of the week, and were tested on material we didn't get to learn yet.
She had us do review for a test and she told us the answer for one of the questions, and the answer was incorrect.
We did not have any access to apps to study material, so we couldn't look at any material to practice.
She also did not ensure we receive our kits/supplies in a timely manner
These are just a few of many instances that happened in the three weeks I have been enrolled, and I am currently looking to transfer schools even though my hours will only transfer to another Paul Mitchell school. I refuse to do business with Paul Mitchell after this experience.

I'd give zero stars if I could. If you are looking to become a student for the night esthetics program, I STRONGLY advise against it and look elsewhere.
Reason 1: every single educational kit was not given to students in a timely manner.
Reason 2: the turnover for instructors are incredibly high. I have gone through 3 instructors now and currently don't even have one with no end in sight.
Reason 3: the syllabus keeps changing so no one can keep up with our current learning schedule.
Reason 4: the school has shown that it prioritizes profit over student education.
Reason 5: The school gives out 100s on evaluations and mock outs despite how you actually performed.
Reason 6: When asked if one could transfer,
their response is you can only if its another
PM school and refuses to release a
student's hours even if another school will
accept them.
Reason 7: Not all necessary info is given in
a timely manner and you will wait until the
last minute to receive some form of a
response.
I could go on and on but will leave it at that. The school isn't worth the admission price and the stress. I will say though the financial aid staff and the instructors we did have were great and work hard. I still say look elsewhere. The cons completely outweigh the pros and I genuinely believe students will not be properly prepared for stateboard in these conditions.

My experience with the student who colored and cut my hair was excellent. Her instructor was readily available to offer suggestions to the student and to answer any questions I might have. I would highly recommend this school.

Editor's Description
Paul Mitchell's beauty school in Murfreesboro offers a variety of comprehensive programs. A cosmetology student says, "Great example of the real world salon industry. Heavy focus on the Theory as well. Educated teachers who care about the students. Fun culture and 100% accepting environment for all types of individuals. My experience with the school taught me valuable lessons about the real world and inspired me to strive further in the industry."
The cosmetology program is 1,500 hours, and students receive an iPad with their student kit, textbook, and other supplies. Their 750-hour esthetics program focuses on skincare innovations and technologies, such as electrotherapy, extractions, waxing, brow design, and makeup application.
If you're already a licensed cosmetologist, consider taking the 300-hour instructor program. The teachers (the school calls them Learning Leaders) learn to guide students through their three education levels: Core, Adaptive, and Creative.
Paul Mitchell is a well-known beauty school, and they feature alumni reviews and videos on their site.
