I graduated in 2014 (AHIMA CCA, CBCS, MMAA) I wanted a dream job and MCTC allowed me to achieve that. I have been employed when I wanted to be employed and learning new things from different employers, which was my goal. I have been a Full-time employee with a major healthcare service for several years now. I work from home, make my own hours, with insurance, healthcare benefits and a vested interest in the company. Above the national average of per hour pay. I started as an older person in this area of the work force. Nothing comes easy for something that you want bad enough. If you’re looking for something to be handed to you this is the wrong profession. If you are looking for a trade that won’t cost a lot, less time to graduate this will allow you to achieve that. I definitely debated on writing this review . However , I started class on Monday ..was pulled out of class due to my piercings that I shouldn’t have wore but completely forgot to take them out, Although multiple people on their website having hoops in their lips, eyebrow rings, and Monroe piercings. I was also told a nose ring was acceptable but a lip or dermal wasn’t. Which in turn is being a hypocrite. I offered to take them out at thy moment , but they wasn’t hearing anything I said . So I took care of what I need to take care of in order to return to class on Wednesday and they called me Tuesday stating a background issue came up and I couldn’t come back to class until it’s “taken care of “ mind you the issue was a TRUANCY charge I received over my daughter being sick 8 years ago and missed too much school . That has absolutely nothing to do with nursing and I’ve worked healthcare for 10 years and that’s never stopped me from getting a job. They picked on me from day one to losing my paperwork in the beginning multiple times , to being hypocritical to me and only me , and allowing others to do things that I can’t. Holding something over someone’s head from 8 years ago that is nothing more than a charge from missing too much school is absurd and totally reaching to find a reason to single somebody out. It’s also a big family like the person under me states ,so if one person doesn’t agree or want you there they will make it happen to get you out. I contacted kbn and was told my charge is noting that would prevent me from taking my nclex test , which is also something they tried to say also and were wrong about . Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place , you can be a phenomenal person and candidate and they won’t care nor try to care . They don’t have anyone’s best interest at heart and it’s sad .
