Currently enrolled student and the only thing I like about the school is the flexibility, but even that comes with pros and cons. First of all you have to accomplish a bunch of practicals but it’s hard because they don’t assign anyone for you to practice on you just have to ask around which as an introvert is kind of awkward and not everyone wants to be a “test monkey”. Second they change the rules and the hours a lot so it becomes stressful a trying to get comfortable in your environment. I hate consistent changing. Lastly I hate the weird vibes the teachers give off sometimes, I don’t dislike any of them it’s just eh…one teacher is nice and the other is nice sometimes but also has a mouth if that makes sense

I recently started nail tech and esthetician program in Fountain of Youth. The instructors here are very nice and helpful. The school environment is welcoming and inspiring, and atmosphere is very friendly. The school financial aid office was really helpful and financial aid was surprisingly easy. They really care about making beauty education accessible to everyone. I would highly recommend this school if you are interested in Cosmetology field.

I've been attending this school's Cosmetology program since 06/17/2024 and I was a little skeptical about attending due to all of the bad reviews. I should've went with my gut feeling and attended the first school of my choice knowing what I know now. I'm not going into too much detail because most of the cons about the school can be googled. The only pros the school has going for it are partial distance learning and 2 great teachers Ms. Sarah and Ms. Edna who actually care about teaching the students and their futures. They both love what they do and go above and beyond for the students. Ms. Rita is also very helpful when it comes to handling things for the students. During my time attending the school I've noticed many things that need improvement. The lack of supplies the students have to learn and practice with is rediculous. I've reached out to staff regarding my concerns and hope to see a solution to the issue sooner than later. The kits can be a lot better for the price of tuition. The overall structure of the programs offered are unorganized and need to be setup better. There is also a lack of communication between the staff which interferes with the students learning. The school can use an upgrade in the interior as well. Other beauty schools look and feel like a professional setting. I truly wish the owner of the school Cheri would be more enthusiastic about the students being there. She did so much to convince students to attend her school because it was the best option but once we actually started attending, her interest in any of the students decreased. There has been a lot of complaints from previous and current students about their financial aid being misued and seems like we're all just human dollar signs in her eyes. I find it sad that Cheri doesn't participate in the graduations. Ms. Sarah seems to be putting in more of an effort to make sure the students have a nice graduation ceremony. You'd think Ms. Sarah and Ms. Edna were the owners of the school because they are the glue that holds it together. I'm sure if they were to leave, the school would be a disaster. They're the only 2 teachers teaching I'm guessing over 100 students in all programs. They're overworked and need more teachers to share the load. I feel like the school has the potential to be the best but as long as things continue to go the way they've been going, I don't see a successful future for the school. Hopefully, improvements to help elevate the school are in progress. Attend this school if you think it would work for your career goals.
