1st experience was when I wanted to transfer my cosmetology to this school. I emailed with the person and did all that was needed such as transcript transfer, the application etc but it never happened. I would email and didn't get any responses. 2nd experience is I tried enrolling into their na 1 program. started asking about it 4/22. Sent them vaccination records for them to look over. Told tb was needed and got it done then later on I was told I needed the titer or varicella. Why wasn't I told the day they told us we needed the tb blood tests? Then when I let them know I could get it but it'll take a few days for results and if I could go ahead and enroll but they were stuck on I needed to wait til next enrollment period. I did let them know I thought they would work with me on it being I would only be waiting on titer chicken pox results but they said no. Then they emailed me stating I was being hostile and if it continued that i wouldnt be able to enroll. (?) We've only emailed. I never cursed, never said anything rude or mean & never threatened. I, of course, emailed letting them know I didn't know how I was hostile especially via email. I simply emailed that We've been emailing back and forth for days (4/22-5/6) programs start 5/6&5/7 and today 5/6 they decide to mention the missing varicella/titer. Not sure i want to enroll in a program with such overly dramatic people over it. I can't imagine how they are in person if over email they are so quick to dismiss a person. Invest so much money into a program where the staff may be quick to drop you over anything not caring how much you've spent, the time and effort put in or care to make sure you succeed. Just from email experience alone I'm not sure it's a promising program if it's those same people from emails teaching the course. I've already had my na1 certification in the past, it expired 2015, but I didn't recall jumping through all these hoops. Here the tb is a blood tb test not the usual skin tb. I see many colleges are doing it now but the blood one is more expensive. $75-120. Compared to skin test at $15. The varicella titer is $150 at 1 place. Another, it was office visit plus labcorp costs. Then when you complete the immunization, they require background and drug screening that'll cost 90 some dollars. After that you pay for their program, the student textbooks, student kit and something else from their bookstore. You'll also pay for scrubs, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, and a 2nd hand watch. Shoes, most people have white or black nonslip shoes but if you don't that'll also be a cost. It's a lot. I recommend randolph community college na 1 program. It was really good in 2010. Not sure about now but Back then there were excellent teachers.

A great college with a supportive staff from enrolling to graduating. In my second program at the school and it is a blast. I feel supported at every moment. I recommend taking any classes here you can rather they be gen ed or a specific program. The EMS program is my program of choice and has been a delight thus far.
