This hair school is a joke. I walked in at 11:30 did not finally get my hair done until 4 o’clock. The first student that wash my hair did not wash my hair properly. I understand they are students so I didn’t really trip. The part that got on my nerve is the fact that the instructor took over to proceeded to silk press my hair his own words, Mr. Brandon and 20 minutes. He did not use no type of product to get the hair to be silky. I just feel that he was rude. He put two people in front of me while I was waiting.I still have patience. The lady at the desk try to make it better by giving me a complementary facial. I will have to say that’s the best thing about that school the young girl that did my facial was amazing and awesome. I will just continue to go to the Calumet location if I pay patronize this company again.

Patron beware! You might experience extreme hair lost due to the hair products that they use. On August 11, 2024 I arrived to get my hair braided for a ponytail. My hair was shampooed, conditioned then I was put under the dryer. I was later asked to have it reshampooed and after it was blown out. I agree, then my hair was blown out again and 8 braids were braided. Gell was applied to my hair and I one point I smelled a chemical. The style looked good so I paid and left. The next day I experience losts of itching and scape. I took it down after 3 weeks and had extreme hair lost. I went back to the school to inquire about the products used on my hair and what could I do to stop the hair lost. Immediately, Instructor Tina denied any responsibility and suggested that I have diabetes, hypertension and or thyroid disease and the medication I am taking is cause the hair lost.
I denied it all because neither applied to me. Then she stated that the shampoo I used caused the hair. That too was denied because it is the same shampoo and conditioner I used to regrow my hair after it came out in 2021 because of Covid-19. I again asked how could I stop it and she said she no because she does not know why my hair is coming out and again you need to see a dermatologist. To her suggestion I saw my PCP and 2 dermatologist. Each stated the same thing, something was put on my hair in the shop that cause and allergic reaction and caused my hair to fall out. The dermatologist tested my scalp and hair shafts, both were healthy. What I have been left with is a thin head of hair. The right side is much thinner than the left. There are two big patches of excessive hair lost on the right side above my ear and in the back. This has been a nightmare. I would never recommend this school to anyone.
