Poor gray hair coverage and an uneven haircut. . I have short hair only on side that looks like a dog chewed on it. On a follow up appointment where the schedulers at TIGI did not schedule the right amount of time for color, the supervisor asked WHO scheduled me and said I should know how much time it takes and then proceeded to tell how hair coloring works. Very condescending. When I showed her the cut from last appointment, she said the cut was fine and I should part it differently. No sorry or acknowledgement of the bad cut. My color lasted for 3 weeks . I don’t wash my hair frequently and use color safe products so??? I understand that students are leaning but this supervisor is not kind or helpful.

I had a great experience today. The facility is clean, modern, and clearly set up to prepare students for real-world barbering. The instructors were engaged, supportive, and maintained a high standard throughout the process. Charlie did an excellent job on my haircut — professional, confident, and detail-oriented. It was clear she’s being well coached and supported in her training. Overall, this felt less like a “school haircut” and more like a quality barbershop experience. I’d absolutely recommend this program to anyone serious about becoming a barber.
