Excellent school to attend. I was on my last year before it was too late to get my High School Deploma and they helped me get it. All the staff assisted me in getting me there. There's only so much they can push you without you putting your part in it as well. They're willing to get you to where you want to be, but you have to come with that mindset.

The mission of Southwest Leadership Academy, a high school, is to provide an environment where all students are empowered to exceed academic expectations and feel ready for college or their future careers. The school is dedicated to improving the achievements of otherwise at-risk students.
SLA offers all its students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma while working toward a 1,600-hour certification in cosmetology or barbering. Both programs have no fees for SLA students, and the school will also pay for its students to take the state cosmetology licensing exam upon completion of the program.
The school is described as "the best charter high school in Phoenix hands down," by one parent.
