I was paired with Zabrina and she did an AMAZING job with my hair. I wish I would have taken some before/after photo because she had the magic touch! 🥰 I would definitely recommend this beauty academy, the service was professional and the teacher was right there to help the students when needed!

Made an appt for shampoo, deep conditioner, and braid down for wig and went today. From the door, I was given impeccable service. My stylist, Ms Lashonda, was completely thorough, and answered all my hair care questions and gave me product recommendations to use on my hair. Braided my hair so I could have the flattest base possible. Will be coming back. Please request for Ms Lashonda for your hair services.

Took my young adult son today, May 14th to get hair conditioner, trim and twist. Spoke privately to instructor and informed her that my son was a bit timid and had not gotten his hair done at a salon/school before and to please be patient with him. We showed instructor and student pictures of the style he wanted and they agreed it could be done, that the student was really good at twist. Then the instructor recommended that my son to allow one of the barber student to cut his sides, saying that the student was at a certain level in class and really good. So we agreed, but not a service we originally went for. An hour into service, I get a text from my son that he is not happy with the cut so I call the school to ask the instructor to speak with him to ensure he is happy. The person who answered my call at the school said they would relay the message to the instructor and get back to me. The next thing I know, my son calls me and says, the instructor had decided not to continue with services and so for me to come pick him up. So, I totally understand, these are students and I don’t have any problem if student didn’t quite get it right the way my son wanted it. However, students suppose to be working under the direction and guidance of a qualified instructor to assist as needed. The fact the instructor decided she either didn’t have time or didn’t want to be bothered or wasn’t qualified to ensure client satisfaction is very unprofessional. She would not come out and speak with me when I came to pick up my son which I also felt was unprofessional. So my son wasn’t satisfied with the barber cut, why couldn’t the original services my son desired be completed? I have gone to several beauty schools in my lifetime and have NEVER had an incident where the instructor was not able to ensure professional services either by guiding student or performing part of the service themselves if need be. It appeared the instructor was in a class at the time I came to pick up my son and therefore there was no instructor readily available to assist students on the floor. Very disappointed in the lack of service and professional at Shear Finesse today😣
