Programs

Cosmo

The cosmetology program trains students in both theory and practice, which will prepare them for employment in the cosmetology profession. The student will be trained to perform a variety of beauty services within the scope of practice of a licensed cosmetologist. These services include hair dressing, hair cutting, scalp treatments, permanent waving, hair coloring, facial, make-up and facial scalp massage.

In addition, students will learn about shop management and salon operations. The course will also train students in methods of proper sanitation and safety of the client and the cosmetologist. Additionally, the program will train students in ethics and encourage independence, which are essential when working as a professional cosmetologist.

The cosmetology program is a 1,500 hour program that is available full time or part-time.

Full-time = 24 + hours per week

Part-time = 15 – 24 hours per week

Esthetics

This program will train students in both the theory and practice of esthetics, which will prepare graduates for employment as an esthetician. The student will be trained to perform services within the scope of practice. These services include general skin care and skin disorders, equipment/machine application, facial treatments, make-up, exfoliation, massage techniques on the face and neck, aromatherapy, relaxation and spa body treatments.

The esthetics program is a 750 hour program that is available full-time or part-time.

Full-time = 24 + hours per week

Part-time = 15 – 24 hours per week

Nail Tech

The main objective of the nail technology program is to train students in both theory and practice, in preparation for the nail technology license. The student will be trained to perform all nail services within the scope of practice of a licensed nail technician. These services include manicuring, pedicuring, gel nails, sculptured nails, nail wrapping, tips and nail art. In addition, the student will learn about shop management and salon operations. This includes learning about the nail industry, customer service techniques, and how to manage a nail business. You will also learn the methods of proper sanitation, health, and safety. Professional development including ethics and professionalism is are also part of the program.

The nail technology program is a 350 hour program that is available full-time or part-time.

Full-time = 3 to 4 Months*

Part-time = 4 to 6 Months*
