I will say I have come here for decades and have always had wonderful experiences! I cut 8+in of hair off and put in layers and Michaela did great! The newer teacher that assisted her was also a great teacher, she gave Mikaela the tools to be successful while the teacher hung back and gave advice and encouragement as needed. I really appreciate that my student took her time to understand and apply new concepts. My first visit in ended with anither teacher coming by and saying 'you have 10 minutes' and then turned off lights while I was still in the chair. Michaela did not want to rush the job or leave it incomplete, but it seemed like the messaging from leadership was that it was time to go. I came back the following Saturday and Michaela was not there, so Kayla and a teacher cleaned up the cut and finished the job. The teaching was not pleased with the reason for the unfinished haircut and explained the student should have been responsible for asking for more time. It is my *hope* that the teaching staff understands that the messaging was the source issue - and the student was in a vulnerable position being client facing with leadership messaging conflicting with the clients interest. Consider how 'We close in 10, will you need more time?' would have given the student an opportunity to communicate their needs.
