I am making this review under an anonymous page because I do not want to be contacted or harassed by this company. This was, without question, a severely misleading course that left me with far less education than what was promised and thousands of dollars lost.
I took their lip blushing course, and my overall experience was subpar at best. From the beginning, things felt disorganized. The course date was moved because there weren’t “enough students,” which was frustrating as I had rearranged my schedule to attend the original date. By the time all the red flags came to light, I had already paid.
Here is what I was promised: a three-week course that included two weeks of online training, the opportunity to watch a live model during the training, unlimited shadowing with the instructor, and a professional kit stocked for 20 clients. None of this was delivered honestly. “three-week course” being just three days because the “two weeks” of online too me a 7 hour day with notes, there was no live model demonstration. While I did enjoy listening to parts of the teaching, there was also a lot of unnecessary side talk that distracted from actual learning. On model day, I felt completely unprepared, which led to a panic attack in the bathroom. The instructor stepped in, did the entire outline on my model (something she did on every students model apparently ), changed my mapping instead of showing me how to adjust it, and completed most of the shading. ( but she still certified me) It left me feeling like I never truly worked on a model at all and like I was certified just to be passed off.
After the course, we were asked to leave reviews, but only if they were five stars. If our experience wasn’t perfect, we were told to speak to the instructor directly to “rectify the situation.” After talking to other students, many of us felt unable to share our actual experiences. The promise of unlimited shadowing was also misleading. When I asked to shadow, I was told the instructor “doesn’t work much” and was redirected to their other instructors. After going back and forth with another instructor, I was finally allowed to shadow a client. That experience left me more confused, as the instructors contradicted each other. I reached out to the main instructor three or four times to shadow her directly and eventually received a short, dismissive response that made me feel like I was bothering her. When I finally did get to shadow her, she spent much of the appointment on facetime/ live I can’t remember , and her answers to my questions felt more like sales pitches. The kit was also disappointing. My products were separated into random bags. I was given 10 aftercare cards, only one piece of after for my model, and told to “try other aftercares.” The needles were a cheap off Amazon, the machine bags barely opened , and the numbing cream didn’t even have a label, later checked with the health department, I was told I couldn’t legally use. On top of that, after the course I had to spend an additional $300 just to buy enough supplies to work on the 25 clients that I was told I’d have product for.
At the end of it all, I realized I had paid $2,000 for a severely misleading course. really to have learned some basics about pigments and how to hold a machine. Since then, I’ve had to take additional online and in-person classes, spending another $4,000 to $5,000 just to get the education I should have received the first time. From the very beginning, I felt like I was sold smoke and mirrors, but the reality was completely different. The messages I’ve received from this company since finishing have been requests to leave a review. So I am writing this now to share my real experience.
This was beyond disappointing, and I am writing this to warn anyone considering this training. if you are serious about learning, do not make the same mistake I did. Spend more upfront with a reputable educator, it will save you thousands of dollars, years of frustration, and the regret of wasting time and money on a course that does not deliver what it advertises.
