If you’re considering coming here for the LVN course, don’t. Just DONT. To start off, coming to this school was a big mistake. From the outside, the school looks clean, organized, etc. However, once you’re signed up, everything changes and you see the reality. When you ask for information regarding this place, you’re met with almost daily calls, texts, etc. Its borderline harassment with how often they reach out. Once you’re signed up? You won’t get one single update on anything, the communication dies once you sign up. Read the reviews of other students, communication and organization is terrible at this place. Another thing that’s terrible at this school is the stuff they provide. The LVN program is around 40k. For 40k the school provides so little, where is the money going to? No idea, it certainly isn’t on the students. The students get 3 pair of scrubs, yet the scrubs are such poor quality. The scrub sizes are inconsistent and if they don’t fit well. You’re expected to get them tailored. If anyone pays 40k for a program the least that the school can provide is better scrubs or already tailored scrubs. This school also doesn’t provide physical books, they are all digital. Don’t expect to own the books though. You pay a fee for the books yet the books are only accessible for around 2-3 years. Think about that, you pay 40K for a school, you’re given poor quality scrubs, expected to get them tailored, and books? For 40k you’re not even allowed to keep the books, they are essentially rented. That’s why I ask, where is the money going to? Not the students, nor for quality staff. We had several different instructors for the program. For my cohort it was around 11 overall for skills and theory, out of those 11, 4 were great, the rest? They are so disorganized they can’t even stay on the same page with their fellow instructors. Most instructors are not suitable to be teachers. They are not able to teach well, and good luck if you try to voice any concerns. The instructors will essentially argue with the students, get on a high horse, and say its our way or the highway. Getting help with the instructors or anything else is basically nonexistent. Students will voice their concern, speak to higher ups, etc. What happened after? Nothing, because this school just cares about getting students money, not for the students themselves. Another big Issue with north west is their big lack of being consistent with other north west campuses. For example, at the West Covina location, you take a final HESI and expected to get a score of 900 to be allowed to graduate. However, at another North West location, the HESI score required is lower. How the hell is it that they are essentially the same school but have different requirements?? The director of nursing sets the “standards and policy.”How can different nursing directors set different policies and why isn’t there a universal policy and standard for all the campuses? This school tries so hard to be seen as a competitive, prestigious school. The reality is this school just prays on students who want to better themselves, get a career, and they promise them a good School, a good school progress, etc. The truth is this school looks great on the outside, on the inside you realize its garbage but its hard to leave because once you sign the contract they make it hard to leave. Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews. The school ask students for a good reviews and some instructors even provide extra credit for a review. Notice how many of the 5 star reviews only have one review and its for the school. Its no coincidence. Don’t come here just because its close by, it looks nice, etc. For 40k you can get a better education anywhere else. Literally anywhere else with that much money. Don’t be fooled by a school that has to advertise themselves on bus stop signs. They know who their target demographic is, those who just want to better themselves. DO NOT go into debt for a school that gives so little to its students, is disorganized beyond belief, has different standards for different campuses, etc.
