I had the pleasure of attending the Full Specialist program at Hollywood Institute in 2022, and I couldn't be more grateful! My instructors, Mrs. Susan (Nails) and Mrs. Ida (Esthetics), were exceptional - with years of experience, they provided guidance and mentorship. Although I'm unsure if they're still part of the faculty, their impact on my education was significant. The school's intimate setting and small class sizes allowed for tailored attention and support, laying a solid foundation for my future success. I'm thrilled to have chosen Hollywood Institute for my training - no regrets whatsoever!

If you are looking to expand and make something FOR YOURSELF you should come here . Back in 2022 was the first time I came here to get my Nail Technician License. I had Miss Susan she is wonderful. Since then I’ve been my own boss as a licensed nail tech . Allowing me to get the opportunity to come back again for a different Trade . This year I went back to Hollywood for my Skin Care License and Electrologists License . Mrs.Ida for skin care if the BEST , all the stories about how wonderful she is and how much she really loves her job is true. You will become an excellent aesthetician under her . Mrs. Tracy is my Electrology instructor. And let me tell you I was nervous just thinking about having to take a STATE BOARD EXAM. But Mrs. Tracy gives out these little packets of with games , word puzzles and more all for each chapter we are on . And that alone will give you the confidence you need to pass the exam. Playing each word puzzles and BINGO GAMES the answers will stick to you faster than trying to study out the book . I love that from Mrs. Tracy . And not the Mention the Barber Teacher John and Hardy although I never been in their class . They are so welcoming and fun to be around. And the amount of people I know personally that are BARBERS all came from this school and was taught by them . That its self makes me want to come back AGAIN to expand my trades even more. I’m so thankful for everyone I just mentioned. Highly recommend this SCHOOL!!!.

Ms. Tracy has been an amazing teacher for the electrolysis/laser program. I came to Florida already being a laser tech, and I’ve even learned so much!! The hands on experience is unmatched. I would recommend Ms. Tracy very highly to anyone who is thinking about making this part of their curriculum!

The Barber program teaches theory, lab and hands on practice in shaving, hot towel, beard design, hair sculpting, hair design and hair color. Students will learn the state law that governs barbering and sterilization and will be eligible to sit for the state Barber licensure examination, which upon successful completion, will qualify graduates to work as Barbers in Florida.

The objective in the Cosmetology program is to train students in the skills needed to meet the competencies for the examination required by the State Board of Cosmetology. Using the Pivot Point approach to education, instructors train students to think and act like designers. Students learn the theory behind Cosmetology and the practical skills necessary to succeed in the Beauty industry.

Massage Therapy

The Massage Therapy program is designed to qualify graduates for entry-level employment in a Health Care setting, Spa environment or as an independent practitioner. Students are taught manual techniques to manipulate the soft tissue structures of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and stress; and to promote health and wellness. Topics include Anatomy, Physiology, Massage Theory, Florida Law, HIV/AIDS education, Hydrotherapy, Eastern and Allied modalities. Students gain hands-on experience through clinical applications and a positive learning environment that involves small classes.

Nail Technology

The Nail Technology program concentrates on the care and beautification of the nails on the hands and feet. The objective of this class is to provide comprehensive training in the field of Nail Technology and to successfully complete the State and school requirements to become eligible for registration as a nail specialist with the Board of Cosmetology (DBPR).
