Please forgive the delayed response but I do want to come back and provide an update on the services. THEY MADE IT RIGHT! Ms. Peggy contacted me and apologized for the services I received and asked that I come back so they could make it right! Well they did I got an experienced stylist and have been coming back ever since! My girl Porysha is the BOMB she is very sweet, very attentive and does a wonderful job! The instructor Stephanie I just love, she is just as cool and nice and attentive and it doesn’t hurt she has good taste in glasses.. haha So on the fact they made it right and it’s get better each time I highly recommend you giving them a chance. I did and I’m glad I did! Thank you Ladies! I had an early appt to get wash, deep cleaning, cut and styled. Thank god the instructor was there she did most of the cutting. The person in training claim to be at the school almost a year and had no confidence at all, and most the time had no clue, but she had the gift of gab. She began curling the very end of my long hair with a small edge flat iron you know the tiny ones. I informed her that I did not want a flip and I wanted my hair curled under. Then she starts saying you want me to curl all your hair, uh yes, she did not want to curl all my hair. Next thing I know the instructor tells me that the girl back hurts therefore she could not finish my hair. She has three people waiting and not enough people to come and finish my hair, yet you concerned about people who came after me. Yea they did not charge me for the flat iron. I left but please believe I’m writing a review. My time is valuable and regardless of the shortage I should have gotten what I made a appointment for but to dismiss and send me out half ass, I did not even get the mirror to see what the cut looked like, and by time I got home it did not even look like my hair was done, I have naturally curly hair. It was my first experience and it was not a good one. If your students don’t really want to do hair then they should not be on the schedule to handle potential clients. It was plenty students that was sitting around with no clients and talking. If I was the instructor the person doing my hair would get a D only because my hair did get washed. And the instructor I grade an F because I was the client in the chair, you were more concerned about who were in the waiting area verses who was in the chair. I think the school should know how the clients are handled, it was not professional at all. I know I would Never want this student touching my hair ever again. Learn customer service and provide the service the client request and if you can’t do it don’t start the job! All she talked about was being home in the bed, she came in with pajamas on, very unprofessional… well she should have stayed her ass home in Rome, GA and not wasted my time or money!

I am so glad I discovered the Health & Style Institute. I had my hair cut today and could not be happier. Although Saniyah is a stylist student at the Institute, she has the confidence and technique of a pro. She did a great job! Her instructor, Stephanie, was always nearby to answer questions, check her work, and give guidance. What a team! I also had my eye brows expertly waxed by Tiffany, a student esthetician who also does facials. Like Saniyah, she has the skills of a pro. I highly recommend Tiffany for her knowledge and expertise. My brows look perfect and I can't wait for my next facial.
