GateWay Community College offers various beauty-based programs at its Deer Valley campus, including a 32-hour per week cosmetology option.
Students graduate from the program with the skills and knowledge necessary for establishing and maintaining a clientele, keeping up to date with state laws applicable to cosmetologists, and the business management skills needed to start and manage a salon.
The course includes four blocks, each of which requires 400 hours to complete. The curriculum covers a variety of beauty-based topics, including hair, skin, and nail essentials.
