cheap experience, just like their prices. i came in to get my hair done for my birthday weekend. the past couple months have been very challenging mentally so my hair is not in the best condition, i came here with my mother for a sense of peace to reset and get ready for my special day. when walking in the front desk lady, Tiffany, immediately had a terrible attitude. she said my hair is tangled and i agreed to pay for a detangling fee. after signing in and preparing to pay, a barber (unfortunately i do not remember his name) came over to her and they begin talking. it was only a few seconds later when i realized they were completely talking and being funny about my hair RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. i then asked my mother if she heard it too (to confirm before i confronted them) my mother heard the same thing. i immediately confronted them and she got defensive that she “wasn’t talking about me” when it was so clear that she was, i was right directly in her face and i heard every word. the man she was talking to was even looking me directly in my eyes and i could clearly tell he was thinking hurtful things about me. when i confronted her she just denied it but then CONTRADICTED HERSELF by saying “you’re right, im sorry” if you weren’t talking about me (like you said) then why would you be apologizing ??? stand on the same energy you had when you talking negative about me with a barber. dont talk negative about someone and get scared when they give you the same energy back. as for the man, this is a GROWN man talking badly about a 18 year old. GROW UP, yall both are far too old to be acting like high schoolers. cracking jokes, smiling, and laughing at a 18 year old, at your BIG AGE. i highly do not recommend going to this CHILDISH and UNPRESSIONAL place. i will definitely be going to their higher power to file a complaint. this will NOT be tolerated. if they feel so comfortable talking about someone directly in their face, what are they saying behind close doors?

I have to share my experience. I was at the facility at eight o'clock waiting for them to open. I went in signed my name and the service I wanted. Because the service I requested would take two hours to complete. I was informed I would have to wait until the students completed the easier styles first then they could start on my hair. So unacceptable the Jemisons didn't run things like that. If you call and ask for a particular service they always say , we don't have anyone to do that service right now, they are usually not telling the truth. The weekend instructor tried to calm things down but the receptionist charged her. Sad that black people ruin the business for other black folks. See you Franklin never again after forty years of supporting you I can't do it any more. I will you tube and do my own hair from now on.

We visited the school while they were on spring break, so there were only a few students available to style us. A few of the instructors stepped in and helped to complete our styles to make sure that we were satisfied. One of the instructors named Miss Margie gave me and my aunt silk presses and a trim.
