I graduated from Empire Beauty School with a certification in Dermalogica Skin care, and received my Cosmetology License. I wanted to share my experience for anyone considering enrolling. Positives: • Hands-on Learning: One of the highlights of my time at Empire was the hands-on training. The school offers real-world experiences where we got to practice on clients under the supervision of instructors, which helped me build confidence and refine my skills. • Instructors: I had a few standout instructors who were passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted to see students succeed. They were always available to answer questions and guide me through difficult techniques. (Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Alexa, Ms, Krystal, Ms. Melissa, Ms. Vanessa and of course I cannot forget Ms. Jenn) • Facilities and Equipment: The school had well-maintained facilities and equipment, which made the learning environment more comfortable and professional. I was able to work with quality tools and products during my training. • Networking Opportunities: I also appreciated the opportunities to meet other beauty professionals and industry guests. The school often held workshops and events that gave me insight into the industry and helped me make connections. Areas for Improvement: • Class Sizes: At times, the classes could feel crowded, and I wished there was more one-on-one attention from instructors. However, it did improve in smaller group settings. • Outdated Curriculum in Certain Areas: Some of the curriculum felt a little outdated, especially in newer trends like advanced coloring techniques or modern skin care practices. I would have liked more up-to-date content on current industry trends. Overall Experience: Despite a few areas that could be improved, I feel that Empire Beauty School provided me with a solid foundation in the beauty industry. I left with the skills and knowledge I needed to begin my career as a Cosmetologist/ Hairstylist , and I felt prepared to start working right away. I would recommend Empire to anyone who is passionate about beauty and willing to invest in their future. Just be aware and make sure you’re prepared for a fast-paced environment.

Just went there to get my hair colored with Brianna and she absolutely killed it. She’s great! Can’t wait till she opens a salon of her own after graduating!

I spent the day at Empire getting my hair done. I had Chelsea but others helped at times also! I wanted a full dye and highlights!! I love it!! 07/26/24
