Alyssa M. did such an amazing job! She asked lots of questions about what I was looking for, answered all of mine, confirmed that we were on the same page and was very personable, considerate and friendly. Communication is key! My hair turned out beautifully and I enjoyed the experience so much! I will be asking for her again when it’s time for a refresh!

I had a very disappointing experience involving Tudian Hughes, a stylist who works out of this salon.
I originally came across her profile on StyleSeat on November 29th. I inquired about wig coloring and construction services and asked if she was able to complete them. She confirmed that she could, so I dropped off my wig at this salon on December 1st. I clearly communicated when I needed the wig completed, and we agreed on a specific deadline. That deadline was missed, along with additional dates she later provided—each time with a different excuse. I was repeatedly assured the wig was almost finished, including being told she would come into the salon to complete it, which never happened.
I was later told the salon would be closed for the holidays from December 17th through January 4th and that she could not finish the wig because of this—information that was never disclosed at the time of booking or when deadlines were agreed upon. I later learned the salon was, in fact, open for the remainder of that week and only closed one day for a holiday party. This lack of honesty and poor communication caused me to miss the opportunity to wear the wig for the holidays as planned.
When I finally retrieved the wig, it was unfinished, unevenly colored with two visibly different blonde tones, and there was damage to the wig itself, including a hole. Despite the incomplete and subpar work, I still paid. I was initially pressured to use Cash App or Zelle. After expressing discomfort with those payment methods and proposing a cash payment, I was told verbatim by the stylist via text message “pay the salon what you owe for their products,” despite the service being unfinished. This statement alone was very telling, furthermore associated the transaction and services with the salon. After pushback, I ultimately paid cash to the individual who released the wig to me at the salon.
Additionally, despite multiple missed deadlines and the wig being returned unfinished, no incentive, price adjustment, or goodwill accommodation was offered to acknowledge the inconvenience or failure to complete the agreed-upon services. When I raised concerns about the incomplete work and asked about pricing, there was no effort made to remedy the situation from a customer service standpoint.
While a representative at the salon stated this was an outside arrangement when I called to speak to a manager about this, the stylist explicitly indicated that she only performs these services during salon operating hours using their products, and even cited the salon’s operating hours as a reason for not completing the wig. This made the situation confusing and reflective of the professionalism associated with the space. The manager never called me back. I never got a voicemail or any sort of message at all.
Overall, this experience demonstrated poor communication, missed commitments, lack of transparency, and unsatisfactory workmanship. Based on my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution when booking this stylist, as the agreed-upon services were not completed as promised.
