I’m not finished with my degree yet - so fingers crossed that I don’t regret this review later lol. But DSC has been really great so far. Their CCAMPIS program has allowed me to afford daycare for my 2 year-old while I attend nursing school. The professors are all really amazing and knowledgeable, the campus is gorgeous by community college standards, and my classmates are all very intelligent, kind, and helpful people. The nursing school has fantastic NCLEX pass rates (99% was the most recent one, I believe). They really know what they’re doing and it’s an excellent school to attend for your ASN or BSN. Their clinical rotations are highly efficient and I really enjoy how they team up with Advent Health and Halifax to offer internships to students. They make it very easy for student veterans who go to school using the GI Bill. They really offer a ton of resources and care about their students. The testing center offers CLEP tests and TEAS exams. They have the Falcon HOPE Center - where you can grab some free clothes for your kids or clothes for a job interview. They offer counseling resources. They’re just a very good school.

While attending a Rotary Learning Conference at the school I was impressed by how well the facilities are kept and how pleasant the staff are on a Saturday. For an older college the building is well maintained. The classrooms are very comfortable and quiet. It made learning easier and I got so much more out of the day. Sonny’s BBQ catered breakfast and lunch and it was absolutely delicious. Super yummy sausage gravy and bacon. The brisket at lunch was so tender. And they are the nicest people I really appreciate them as well. Thank you to our host and our cater for an amazing day. Kind regards.
