I attended barber school in 2022, and Jorje was one of my instructors. He was an amazing teacher very knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about barbering. Jorje took the time to make sure we understood not just how to cut hair, but why we do things a certain way. He was always willing to help, give honest feedback, and push us to be better. What really stood out was how much he cared about his students’ success, both for state board and in the real world. He shared real industry experience, tips, and techniques that I still use today. Because of him, I felt more confident in my skills and prepared to move forward in my career. I’m grateful I had Jorje as a teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone going through barber school.

This barber and cosmetology school is truly one of the best in the area. The environment is professional, supportive, and focused on helping students succeed both in school and in the industry. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about teaching and preparing students for real-world careers. I especially want to highlight my barber instructor, who I had the opportunity to work closely with. He takes real pride in his craft and puts that same pride into helping his students grow. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to take the extra time to explain techniques, give honest feedback, and make sure everyone understands what they’re doing. His passion for barbering and for teaching really shows, and it makes a huge difference in the learning experience. Overall, this school is a great place to learn, build confidence, and develop strong skills. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into barbering or cosmetology.

Upon completion of your program at Cosmetology & Spa Academy, you should be prepared to take the Illinois state board exam. Once you pass your exam, you can be on your way into the exciting world of beauty. We also provide resume building assistance, keep an active job board, write letters of recommendation, host job fairs and provide financial aid for those who qualify.
Did we mention our institute has some added perks? Students are offered free parking, student lounges with dispensaries, student lockers and a free 1-inch tablet. Also, undergraduates who have reached 6 hours may receive one free or discounted beauty salon service per week!
