As a newcomer to this college but not to college in general, this has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Just make sure you stay on top of your own stuff. Don’t count on the staff, most of them truly don’t care. A simple form that needed to be filled out and signed and literally every single person I talked to gave me the wrong information or sent me to the wrong person. Even the person who emailed me the form FROM THE SCHOOL told me the wrong person to go to. On top of that, it took forever for my fasfa to go through when I did it 6 months prior, I didn’t even get to see how much of my fasfa would cover my tuition until 2 weeks before classes started. Whole time it was something that the financial aid office had to do, didn’t have anything to do with me yet I had to go to the school 3 times to get it fixed… this will more than likely be my only semester here. If anything the only person who helped me out was a guy I was on the phone with for about an hour and he was able to answer every question I had, he understood and agreed with my frustration and he did everything to fix my issues. Ultimately he was the one who got everything solved because it seems like he was the only one who cared enough to do his job. I wish I could remember his name but if he ever reads this, I hope he knows he’s an amazing person and I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

The College of Lake County is a pretty great school. The campus is comfortable and it's easy to get around. The teachers are mostly good, but it's always a good idea to look them up before signing up for a class. Overall, the school is a solid choice for anyone looking for a good education without breaking the bank. For community colleges, CLC sets the bar very high!
