I really like the cost-benefit of that Cinta Aveda--if you have a bit of patience, it can be really awesome. To be honest, I was sometimes going to hair salons for treatments that cost me $120-$140 plus tips (hair) and facial (200-300). For example, a blowout could range from $60 to $100 depending on the level of the professional, with an additional $40 for treatments (at Aveda salons). It was often a hit or miss. At Cinta Aveda, you get the same or similar service for $20-$50 total, plus tip. I believe students are sweeter and more attentive, and they really pay attention to details. You can also let them know specific preferences, like, "I like to receive more pressure during a massage," and so on. I was initially planning to spend $800-$1,500 monthly on light facials and hair treatments, but now I can get the same services for a fraction of the cost--$300-$400 going 3 times a week even. At one salon I won't name, I paid $40 for an add-on treatment on top of $90 of blowdry where the stylist forgot to let my hair absorb the product. She just applied it and washed it off immediately, even though a botanical treatment needs to sit for 5-7 minutes. That experience was disappointing. So far, I'm really happy with Cinta Aveda. The staff is so professional and sweet, and the service feels always amazing. I just wish they had more options like the chackras massage and etc.
