First off..... they should tell you about programs you SHOULD take BEFORE you start surgical tech class. I think it's a set up to accept students that don't have classes in biology 1 or 2 and the others. It's puts students at a disadvantage, especially if you are piling work, tests and memory skills all at once. My daughter entered with a full scholarship.... she worked hard for it, she also has full VA education benefits...... She was excited when she enrolled, she was excited when class started, she stayed up till 2,3 even 4 am studying. She was motivated, dedicated and ready ....so she thought. Within a few short weeks it was more than obvious that she did not have the background in education NEEDED to pass tests. These classes SHOULD HAVE BEEN offered or required BEFORE acceptance into the program. Within a few short weeks she dropped from the program, lost her scholarship and tried to reenter in the fall program. Im glad she isnt....she's joing the military and going to get her surgical tech schooling there. Before considering this tech school....consider classes you're not told about.
