Welcome to Central Oklahoma College

Deciding to attend Central Oklahoma College is a smart decision. We provide a challenging and rewarding education that stands apart from the others.

We are a one-story free standing building consisting of 20,000 square feet that was custom designed to provide a modern and safe educational environment. The facility includes administrative and faculty offices, a cosmetology/barber clinic, esthetician clinic/lab, dispensary, student break rooms, learning resource center (library) and classrooms. The large clinic areas are equipped with professional equipment consisting of salon styling stations, a shampoo bar, manicure and pedicure stations, a makeup bar, and 12 fully equipped spa rooms. All classrooms and labs are furnished with industry appropriate equipment and supplies applicable for each of the programs offered. For added security, the facility has access controlled entry and exits with cameras inside and outside.

What We Give You

Central Oklahoma College provide a progressive, professional learning environment by giving students extensive hands-on and classroom training in design, cutting, coloring, multi-cultural techniques, and more. We mentor future professionals in attitude, retailing, personal appearance and offer business development classes.

Cosmetology (Hairdressing)

If your goal is to be an accomplished professional, welcome to our school. Cosmetologists today have industry potential that is truly unlimited. They can be found in every aspect of the beauty and spa industry; doing hair services, nails, facials and make-up.

Barber

The Barber program is designed to prepare students for an entry level career as a Licensed Barber. Students learn all phases of barbering in the classroom, lab and clinical environment. This includes developing and demonstrating a working knowledge in safety and disinfection procedures, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, facial massage, haircutting and styling, perms, hair coloring, men's shaving and beard designs, and State Board Rules, regulations and statues.

Massage Therapy

The Massage Therapy program at Central Oklahoma College gives students a foundation in basic massage theory and technique. Students will gain skills in Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Sports Massage and treating clients with special needs. All lab/clinic work emphasizes anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as client customer service and massage application. Upon completion of the program, student will be eligible to sit for the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards ( FSMTB), Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEX). Massage graduates will be eligible for entry-level positions in the massage and spa industry.

Skin Care (Esthetics)

In an age of specialization, the esthetician plays a crucial role in the cast of Salons, Day Spas, and Skin Care Clinics. As a licensed Esthetician, your skills as a make-up artist and skin care specialist are in demand in a world where "pampering" is no longer a luxury enjoyed by the privileged few but a necessity.

The curriculum guides you through many types of facials, hair removal (waxing / tweezing) and of course professional make-up design and application.

Financial Aid

We understand the financial commitment that can come with obtaining a quality education. Central Oklahoma College offers federal Title IV financial aid for all qualified students. In addition to federally funded financial aid, Central Oklahoma College students may qualify for financial assistance through the following programs:

  • United Indian Urban Council
  • Oklahoma Department of Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Other state and local agencies

We are available to assist you in the financial aid process between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (Central Time) Monday through Friday.

While the school can not guarantee employment to its students we maintain a current list of employers who are eager to hire a graduate from Central Oklahoma College.

Students may register for lifetime employment assistance, which will consist of identifying employment opportunities and advisement on appropriate means to realize these opportunities.
