Me and my daughter went to get perms. Loose spiral perms... Like wavy, ringlets. So the 2 girls that did our hair had never done a pun before and the instructor came by and kind of half ass gave them instructions and I told the instructor I wanted big ringlets. And she said, well, that just depends on what kind of curlers we have. So they go off and get their supplies, and they come back and they got these little rollers and I said, I don't want curls that small and the instructor came by and said, oh, it won't look like that on your hair. It'll be loose ringlets. So about 2 rows in I realized that the girl is wrapping the smallest amount possible of hair on each roller, and so I stopped her again, and I said, I don't want ringlets, this small like this is gonna look like tight poodle curls, and that's not what I want. Oh, so she went and got the instructor again came back. The instructor said, it's not gonna look like that.Your hair's too dry and processed and damaged for it to hold a curl. WHAT???? I stressed again.I do not want to look like a poodle and I said, it needs to be a light chemical solution because my hair is damaged and I want more hair on the rollers. The instructor said, well then the perm solution won't get through to the whole curl. The amount of hair that was going on each curler, was like a piece of yarn we're wrapped around the curler. That's it like that then. And I know that that chemical solution will seep through many, many, many more 2 more layers of higher than that, but they wouldn't do what I asked so Um, after sitting for nearly 4 hours they have the curlers in. A different instructor comes by and looks at 1 of the curls. And I said, oh, that's good, that's fine. I could tell it was curly, it didn't look over processed. I should just leave it like that. He said, no, we can't do that. We have to keep it on there, or else it's not going to hold the curl, and I said, but my hair is very damaged. It doesn't need to be on that long. And he said it'll be fine. I kid you not 30 minutes later. My hair is completely ruined completely like. It's falling out, it's spongy, it's tie all the way to the very scalp poodle curls. But the biggest issue is my hair is destroyed and on top of that. My hair was like a it's auburn, like a ginger color and the roots were darker because i'm a brunette, and it looks like they bleached my hair like all of my hair is a brighter orange and oh gosh. A long time ago I loved going there And they did a great job, and if they messed up, they had to fix it, but the new instructors don't make them do that, not that they could fix what they did to my hair but... Nobody said thank you. Nobody said, oh, I'm so sorry. Nobody said, well, let's try this or anything. They were just like bye.Have a nice day. And I almost forgot my daughter's curls. They're almost non-existent, so I paid a $120 for 2 perms. One completely destroyed my hair. And it's exactly like it looks exactly like the picture.I showed her that I did not want to look like three times and my daughters barely got a wave. It may seem like a great idea to save money, but just don't do it because they will destroy your hair
