I had a wonderful experience at California Electrology Academy. Mrs. Johanne, the founder and co-owner, is truly inspiring—knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply dedicated to the profession. I just wish I had the chance to spend more time around her because she is trying to pass the torch to future generations of instructors so she was only there 2-3 days a week! You can really see how much she cares about maintaining high standards and setting students up for real success. I loved how organized and well-structured the curriculum was. It’s thorough, clear, and designed to help students build confidence and strong technical skills. Karina at the front desk was also amazing—always helpful, friendly, and supportive, which made a big difference day to day. Most of the instructors are awesome and genuinely want you to succeed. They are encouraging, supportive, and willing to share their knowledge. Like any institution, there may be a couple exceptions, but overall the quality of instruction was high. All in all, I am happy with my experience and grateful for the education and support I received at CEA.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at California Electrology Academy. From day one, every single staff member and instructor was incredibly welcoming, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Any time I needed help, they guided me with patience and clarity never once making me feel embarrassed for making mistakes. Instead, they showed me the correct techniques in a supportive way that helped me grow. Because of their teaching style, I felt myself becoming more confident each day, which has translated into me providing a much better service as an electrologist. They also offer so many resources to help you prepare for the state board exam, which has been invaluable. Overall, this school truly invests in its students. I’m very grateful for my experience and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in electrology.

California Electrology Academy has given me the opportunity for a new life! Coming here was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I had many questions about the field and school before I enrolled and the staff helped me with all my concerns and answered all my questions. The education I received here was top-notch from leaders in the field and I was more than prepared for being on my own. Not only do they teach proper positioning, insertion techniques, and theory, but they go the extra mile to teach business plans and strategies and prepare you to take the state board exam. I love how the school and staff provides many resources like electrolysis group chats and podcasts for professionals and students to ask questions and keep up with industry standards. California Electrology Academy has set me up for such a rewarding and successful career and life and I’m so grateful to them all there!

California Electrology Academy offers a 600-hour course in Electrology. Students that are accepted into the program will receive first rate theoretical and practical instruction in the field of electrolysis permanent hair removal and be able to apply for state licensure.
This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate indicates that the institution is compliant with the minimum standards stated in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (California Education Code, Title 3, Division 10, Part 59, Chapter 8) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations. This institution has no pending petition in bankruptcy, in not operation as a debtor in possession, has no filed petitions or any filed petitions filed against it under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy code (11 U.S.C. Sec. 1101 et seq.)

The objective of the California Electrology Academy is to provide quality education in the field of electrology. We provide the most modern equipment available on the market today coupled with world renounced, knowledgeable instructors. At California Electrology Academy, we prepare students to meet the demands of the public, the most demanding employers, and to become a true professional within this field. Upon completing this course, students will be qualified to apply for Professional Certification in Electrology through the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. With the skills earned attending our program, students will have the opportunity to seek employment as, or become a self-employed professional Licensed Electrologist.
