In the School's Words
National award winning education! Avenue Five Institute has received numerous awards for our progressive beauty and wellness programs. We take great pride in these achievements and support the ongoing mission to celebrate innovative career development happening across our industry.
Cosmetology - 1000 hours
When a hairdresser combines their creative vision with precision cutting, coloring, and styling techniques, the result is usually fashionable, wearable, beautiful hair. Our proven curriculum has been strategically designed to support this model. In collaboration with national industry experts, thought leaders, and local salons and spas, our cosmetology program exposes students to a broad array of critical skill sets. In addition to these technical skills, our comprehensive business training program will provide the tools and personal marketing know-how to prepare you for success in the salon.
Esthetics - 750 hours
The Avenue Five Institute esthetics curriculum offers a clinical, results-oriented approach to skincare. As day spas and resorts trend this direction, we've seen graduates that choose to pursue careers with med-spas, doctors' offices and laser clinics. There are new machines, new products, and new ways to solve old skin problems. Our progressive and ever evolving esthetics curriculum takes you beyond basic skin care techniques. Graduates are trained in microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, body treatments, and chemical peels.
Massage Therapy - 750 hours / 500 hours
Imagine having the knowledge and skill to help others improve their health, relieve pain, reduce stress and recover quicker from injury. Avenue Five Institute's unique 750-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Program provides comprehensive training, hands-on experience, and industry support it takes to pursue a successful career helping others in less than 1 year.
We offer the only 750-hour Massage Therapy program in Austin that is nationally accredited by NACCAS. If you're an intuitive person interested in health and wellness and you're looking for a rewarding career that fits your lifestyle - you owe it to yourself to take the leap and explore your future in massage therapy.

Love makeup and looking to take your skills to the next level? The products and techniques we teach were developed by Make-Up Designory (MUD). MUD was founded in 1997 in North Hollywood, California, bringing quality education and products to the makeup artist community. At Avenue Five Institute, we teach these same advanced techniques to men and women across Austin, so you can be certain that the application skills you acquire are consistent with the today's highest standards.
