Everyone there was amazing! I was almost 30 min early. I don't mind the wait. The receptionist was very nice and offered me hot yea while I waited. They're very professional and VERY kind. I filled out the new client paperwork and sat for a wait. The stylist came out, greeted me and made me feel beautiful! I went in with a particular look in mind, the stylist and I chatted for a while. She added her thoughts and we found the PERFECT cut for me! She listened and answered all my questions. No matter how silly I thought the question was, she made me feel comfortable and answered every one with a smile on her face. She was brilliant and I will definitely be back!

Editing to add: I called on Monday to get an appointment to get the haircut fixed. After two attempts got a callback and they said Wednesday afternoon is the soonest. On Tuesday a manager called I guess after seeing my review and offered to have me over the same day but I didn’t have a ride so went on Wednesday. Kate Patterson kindly did her best, took help at the end from a mentor, and fixed my haircut as best as possible without compromising length. Thankful to #styledbykate Hair color was fine but haircut was really messed up and I didn’t notice it until after a few hours of coming home as I opted out of the hair dry service. Since it happened to be on a Friday evening, I couldn’t request it to be fixed until Monday. After 3 attempts of calling the salon, they have scheduled me for Wednesday (5 days total after the original appointment). Will never go back here for haircuts.

In the School's Words
The Aveda Institute Columbus opened in February of 2004 and is located right in the heart of the Ohio State University district. The facilities and equipment provided by the Aveda Institute Columbus emulate a true salon and spa setting. Our students receive tremendous hands-on experience, making a smooth transition from the Institute to the workplace.
The Institute operates in over 13,000 square feet of space. On our first floor we have a 750 square foot Aveda Environmental Lifestyle Store and sensory experience area, as well as over 4,000 square feet devoted to our cosmetology clinic. Our cosmetology clinic includes room for 60 hair stations and a combination of 4 luxury shampoo beds and 4 traditional shampoo bowls. The lower level contains a 3,500 square foot spa clinic which includes a 7-station facial clinic, a waxing area, and a 6-station nail spa. Our 4 classrooms are on the second level along with the student lounge, student locker areas and our administrative offices.

Program Offerings
The Aveda Institute Columbus was founded to create the most successful entrepreneurs in the beauty and skin care industry. Our curriculum entails practical knowledge gained from today's most successful masters in hair care, skin care, makeup, total body care and retail services.
Cosmetology
Express your creativity and talent in hair, skin and nail care and makeup application. Our cosmetology course incorporates extensive hands-on learning to provide you a complete understanding of beauty and wellness. Upon completion, you will be ready to succeed as a licensed cosmetologist.
Esthiology
Prepare for an exciting future in skin care with Aveda Institute Columbus. Our Esthiology curriculum provides skin care, body care and makeup training with an emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in treatments. Upon completion, you will be ready to succeed as a licensed esthetician.
Nail Esthetics
The Nail Esthetics program is offered complimentary to all students enrolled in the Esthiology program. The curriculum consists of classroom and hands-on nail care training combined with manager's training that covers advanced techniques. Students in the Nail Esthetics program will receive the education necessary to become licensed as Managing Manicurists.
