I recently decided to choose the Aveda Institute Boise to get a haircut and root (color) touch up. I have been an Aveda salon customer for many years, but regular price increases have risen above my reach. So, as a money saving experiment, I chose to try the Institute, with the low-expectation understanding that the stylist would be a student. I was very pleasantly surprised. My student/stylist was Lilli. She was confident, conscientious and not afraid to ask for help from a supervisor if she ran into something she wasn't certain about. My hair was cut and colored to my specifications. I didn't run out of the salon wanting to go straight home and washout everything that had been done to my hair. That's a positive review by itself! Lilli is intelligent and competent and I enjoyed conversing with her as she worked on my hair. I plan to return to the Institute and to Lilli for future hair appointments. If you are in the market for a new, reasonably priced hair salon and you're willing to take a chance on a supervised student doing the work, I highly recommend Aveda Institute Boise. In addition to the hair services, you have all of the fantastic Aveda products available to purchase, and depending on the sales of the week, your product choice just may be on sale!

Overall, very happy with my experience my stylist has only a couple months left until she graduates. Did all over color, got a little bit of color on my shirt, but it came out. Would come back again for sure and love the products and pricing!

Our Boise location is full of great natural light, and it creates a salon and learning experience that sets us apart. Our 10,000 square foot campus is outfitted with 40 styling stations, clean wood floors, and timeless white walls that open up space so students have plenty of room to learn.
