I went to Aveda for a skin facial. It was my first ever experience and it was amazing! The esthetician, Leslie Jackson, made me feel welcomed. She greeted me at the door and introduced herself. Before the session, she gave me a consultation. I shared with her my medical condition and she explained the procedure and made sure I was comfortable with the products. Spa music was played which made the process more enjoyable. She even took the time to explain the products being applied to my skin. I also received a neck and arms massage. As a man, I didn’t realize how much my skin needed to be purged. It was like hitting the reset button on my face! It was relaxing, refreshing, and surprisingly necessary. Clean pores, smoother skin, and a quiet confidence I didn’t expect. Definitely not just a “woman’s thing”. Thank you Aveda. Thank you Leslie Jackson.

You’ve been saying “but your back” all summer but think about it, are you really taking care of YOUR back? If not they got you over at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Arlington. A long time friend of mine is a current student there and treated me to my first massage. The design and atmosphere of the location was well lit and professionally set up. The stylists greeted guest and were courteous to one another. The services I received included a waxing and massage. My friend, Diamond, did a wonderful job! She was professional and knowledgeable. She explained the process and considered my nervousness being that this was my first experience with either treatment. I won’t go on forever but it was a pleasure watching her interact with her classmates, other stylists with knowledge and care brought me so much admiration. Back to my back, I got this sciatic nerve that hated me before she put her hands on me. When I say she laid hands on me she did that! Ask for Diamond.

Editor's Description
Aveda Arts and Sciences Institutes focuses on a holistic approach to beauty. The fast-paced cosmetology program combines classroom theory with hands-on practice in salon and spa environments. The program covers everything from cutting and coloring to nail care and makeup application.
The esthiology program focuses on using skin care rituals and Aveda-trademarked flower and plant essences. In addition, students train in facials, waxing, makeup application, business development, and wellness knowledge for retail purposes.
