Today more than ever before , licensed cosmetologists trained in the business and communication skills our school builds into the curriculum are poised for financial, personal, and professional success.

Employment opportunities are on the rise. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that employment for cosmetologists will continue to to grow faster than the average growth in other industries .In the new millennium, more and more people will spend their money on personal care services such as hair styling, hair coloring and texturizing, manicures and pedicures, facials and makeup application. While the majority of cosmetologists work as stylists in salons; many choose careers in other areas. These might include:

It has been estimated that the average person spends one-third of her cosmetic budget on nail care. Because today's fashion conscious woman regards professional nail care services increasingly important, you are looking at a career with many good advantages.

Nail Technology is defined as the art and science of beauty care involving all facets of the hands and nails. Artistic Nails and Beauty Academy, Inc offers a 288 hour Nail Technology Course divided into four basic units of instruction. After completing this course you will have a complete understanding of the role of the Nail Technician and be prepared to take the State Examination for Licensing.

The professional nail care business, a billion dollar industry and growing, can offer you promising employment opportunities. In addition to the basic curriculum, speakers are featured and include top product manufactures, salon owners, competition winning nail technicians, business and marketing motivators and more.

Barbering

Program Length 1,200 hours
Average Completion 12 months
Program Tuition $17,267

One of the reasons is that few schools in this country teach the program because the majority of students opt for Cosmetology. This leaves a void in the field of Barbering which in turn opens the door for a lucrative career as a Barber Stylist.

Here, at Artistic Nails and Beauty Academy, the Barber Styling License requires 1200 hours of training. You will become proficient at cutting, styling, beard and mustache trim, clipper cuts and "trend" design among the many other specialized attributes that separate the barber from the cosmetologist. It is an important distinction and of one you can be proud. Employment opportunities are excellent. Barber Stylist can be found working in exclusive shops, salon and day spas, as manufacturer's representatives, platform artists and as instructors and free-lance artists demonstrating new technology for various companies. Please call for further information and/or a tour of the school.

Begin a career in the growing field of skin care where the possibilities are endless. There are boundless opportunities awaiting our graduates. One can work in a Salon or Day Spa, as a Cosmetician in a department store or Make-Up Artist on the set of a movie or television commercial. There are positions open in the paramedical field as an assistant in the office of a Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon. Many of our students have gone to work as Manufacturer's Representatives some have gone into teaching.

Our State-of-the-Art facility includes a makeup/color analysis center, professional facial clinic with facial beds, waxing center and video center. Since classes are small, it is not unusual to have students receiving one on one training. Artistic Nails & Beauty Academy has a very busy customer's clinic where the hands-on approach gives you, the student, a chance to practice as if you were already working in the field. Along with this "practical" experience you will receive excellent theoretical information necessary to become the best at what you do in a business where job opportunities have never been better.

If you feel you would be a perfect fit for this profession and would like to be a part of the beauty field, please make an appointment to take a tour of our school to discuss the possibilities of a career move that will change your life.
