(I couldn’t be more impressed with the education I’ve received here. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and truly passionate about what they teach. We’re not only overly prepared for exams, but also trained with real-world skills that make stepping into the workforce feel natural. The hands-on experience and attention to detail go above and beyond. I’m so grateful to be part of a program that sets such a high standard.) I wanted to leave a second review because, now that I’ve graduated and have had the opportunity to work in the industry, I appreciate my school even more. There are a lot of esthetics schools out there, and while some may be cheaper, I truly believe my education was worth every penny. One of the biggest things that stood out to me was how much the school actually invests in preparing you for the real world. We had professionals come in to educate us about different products, devices, and brands, and they often provided samples for us to learn and practice with. We weren’t constantly expected to spend our own money buying products just to have something to work with every day — so much was provided for us. The school was organized, structured, and genuinely prepared me for my state board exams. I felt over-prepared going into my exams, which gave me so much confidence. But beyond passing exams, they prepared me to actually WORK as an esthetician. I didn’t leave feeling like I needed to immediately spend thousands of dollars on continuing education just to know what I was doing. Of course, continuing education is always valuable in this industry, but my foundation was strong enough that I felt confident stepping into an actual job after graduation. My biggest piece of advice to anyone attending is: TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR INSTRUCTORS. Ask questions. Pick their brains. Take advantage of every bit of knowledge they are willing to give you. You are learning from people who have real industry experience, and that knowledge is invaluable. I know people who have attended or are currently attending other schools where instructors aren’t consistently in the room, students aren’t always being given the information they need, or they’re left to figure things out on their own without proper guidance. I am incredibly grateful that was not my experience. My instructors were present, involved, and willing to correct me and teach me the right way. When you’re choosing an esthetics school, you’re not just paying for hours toward a license. You’re paying for the education, hands-on experience, guidance, resources, and foundation that will follow you into your career. Looking back, I genuinely feel that I received all of that and more. I cannot recommend this school enough. The benefits, resources, hands-on opportunities, industry exposure, and knowledge you receive are truly unmatched. I’m so grateful I chose to go here, and I would make the same decision all over again.

Choosing to go to Esthetician school at ANE will forever be the BEST decision I ever made!!!! The instructors are truly the most knowledgeable, supportive, and caring professionals in all of Charlotte. I was fully equipped to successfully enter my career in esthetics upon graduation. The supplies and products you get to use here are top notch, allowing you to be fully prepared in any job you land. Not only do the instructors provide you with the most thorough, passionate education - they are such amazing, fun people to be around. It reflects how many wonderful connections they’ve built within the Charlotte industry, as well as how many past students continue to return and visit. I truly had the best time at school here, and was absolutely devastated when I finished my program. My experience at Academy of Nails and Esthetics has been far beyond anything I expected. The instructors — Kristi, Beth, and Chris — are truly incredible. They are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in their students’ success. I feel confident, well-prepared, and excited about my future in this industry because of the education and support I’ve received here. I toured many schools in Charlotte but I am so thankful I chose ANE and would highly recommend it to anyone pursuing a career in esthetics.

For over 20 years, the Academy of Nail Technology & Esthetics has proudly prepared estheticians and nail technicians in Charlotte for successful careers in the beauty industry. On Google, Cheryl Simone says, “I’m a former esthetics student and this school prepared me to pass the written & practical exam with ease. What I appreciate most is the long term relationship you have with the instructors. They’re on hand to guide you throughout your career. Great school!”
The esthetics program is a 600-hour course that prepares you for your state exams. At 28 hours per week, you can complete the program in as little as 24 weeks.
The nail technology course consists of 300 hours, which takes between seven and nine weeks if you attend at least 36 hours per week. The part-time program takes three to five months to complete. Classes take place on Monday through Thursday nights or all day on Saturdays.
