The front desk guy, JIM is belligerent and unprofessional. I had called 2 months prior to ask about fees. The woman I spoke with told me it was $35 for a root touch up and $55 for the entire head for single process color. Which $55 for unlicensed amateurs is not cheap. My friend had gone there, but she is gray haired so color was not an issue.
I had a 10:30 AM appointment. I was stuck in their school till 3:00 pm, half my day. I never spent more than 1 hour for single process in my life. I requested a natural auburn brown. I'm gray at the roots. I was shown swatches from Matrix haircolor line. Then the student told me she mixed a Redken formula because they did not have the colors in their inventory from the Matrix line. My roots came out TOMATO RED like BOZO THE CLOWN. They are not knowledgeable about working with red color on gray hair. I told them they need to cool down the red roots with a 7N neutral dark blonde. Well, they do not have 7N which is a staple color.
They mess up your hair and then they do not even have product in stock to fix your hair.
They had to play with a dark level 5 brown red and an 8 level blonde to try to correct my HOT ROOTS.
How do you make appointments for hair color when you barely have any color in stock?. So the client is at the mercy of having to settle for whatever they have, ridiculous. BTW Matrix and Redken are inexpensive American products, you can order a tube of Matrix on-line for $12, they are not high-end German products like Goldwell and Schwarzkopf, etc.
My hair is came out darker than the picture I showed them. My roots are still brighter than the rest of my head. I needed to get out of there I had to be at work downtown at 4:00 pm. I didn't have time to eat nor walk my dogs before work, they took up 5 hours of my time.
When I cashed out Jim charged me $85, for this unprofessional hot mess??. You can go to any professional salon with a licensed stylist with decades of experience for $60-90 for single process and be out in an hour. You're a guinea pig for their students to experiment on, you're doing them a favor, they get credit towards their diploma for whatever work they do on you. They should be paying us for our time.
The place is a homely dump, could use major renovation. I will say, the 2 teachers they had on board were very nice, they agreed my hot roots looked really bad.
I was in a hurry, I told Jim I'll pay the $55 I was quoted. He's arguing with me. For a grown man to be that hard up and desperate for $30 bucks is pathetic. If he were a gentleman he would have apologized to me for having his school waste 5 hours of my time. They had to process my roots twice with 20% peroxide.
And I was patient, I didn't complain to the students, I was just anxious to get out and not be late for work. Jim would not budge. I walked out. He chased me into the parking lot. That's how desperate this man is for a lousy $30 bucks. For what I had to go through in his school, he just should have charged me for 2 tubes of color which at wholesale is under $20 bucks.
This was truly a nightmare experience.
The young girls are lovely, trying their best, they were personable, but they are just beginning students.
4/26- The red completely washed out after a couple of shampoos, no color retention. It faded right away to a brassy, mousey unflattering gold color, nowhere near what I asked for. My hair is dull, flat, dry and cheap looking . When I've had Goldwell color it leaves hair shiny, soft, healthy and the color is beautiful, natural. The worst part is the bright orange roots bled through again, looks horrible. They completely ruined my hair. After $85 and 5 hours this is what I end up with. I need to spend over $100 for another salon to fix this and I need to go darker than I like in order to cover up this stubborn brass. If you're looking for red hair this is definitely not the go to place. Not to mention the emotional aggravation and embarrassment as to how my hair looks, I work with the public, hundreds of people everyday and Im not allowed to wear hats.

Absolutely the best cosmetology school I could have chosen.
I can honestly say this school gave me the strongest foundation for both my career and my life. The instructors truly care, the training is hands‑on, and the environment is supportive from day one. I always felt encouraged, challenged, and prepared for real‑world success.
Thank you for shaping me into the professional I am today. I’m proud to be a graduate of this amazing school.

I been going to this school for the past four years, I only got color in the roots of my hair and got charged $65.00 dollars, never was charged this amount before, the teacher assumed I needed more color than necessary before one bowl was used and did two bowls, that I did not needed. I spoke to Jim one of the owners and he said that he was raising the prices and that’s what I had to pay, and went on and on and started arguing instead of being professional and understanding about what was happening. I will never go back and spend my money tin this place after such bad experience.
